It’s time!

I can’t read that phrase without having Bruce Buffer’s voice in my head. Who’s Bruce Buffer? He’s the guy who announces the main event at UFC fights. His brother, Michael, does the “Let’s get ready to rumble!” for wrestling. Sound familiar? If not, just listen to a random Jock Jams song & I’m sure you’ll hear it more than once. 😉

Moving on,

its-time

I decided that it’s time for me to pursue some of these things I’ve had on my “Someday” list. You know exactly what I mean. Someday, I’ll learn another language. Someday, I’ll lose weight & feel sexy & confident again. Someday, I’ll take up archery. Someday, I’ll get married. And on & on it goes, right?

I’ve been rereading one of my favorite books & it’s helping me with the kick in the pants that I need. I’m tired of not achieving what I really want. I’m over putting my happiness on hold. It’s time to change. And even if I’m not sure what I want to do, just recognizing that I’ve been stagnant & taking a step in a direction is change. 🙂

So, tonight, I started to learn Hebrew. There are several languages I want to learn (Spanish, Italian, OMG Russian!) but Hebrew obviously has a deeper meaning for me. I want to say all the blessings in Hebrew. I want to read my Haggadah. I want to have a bat mitzvah. These are all very important to me & if I want them to happen, I need to get my ass in gear.

Instead of saying “someday, this will happen,” I’m saying “today, I’m taking the first step.” 🙂

And because I’m talking about languages, this made me laugh:
